Overview

What helium gas is, and why the grade matters

Helium is a colourless, odourless noble gas that does not react with the materials around it and stays a gas at temperatures where almost everything else has condensed. It has the lowest boiling point of any element, which is why it remains the only practical coolant for superconducting magnets, and its very small molecule slips through openings that would hold back every other test gas.

That combination makes helium unusual: it is used both as a working fluid, where it carries heat away from a magnet, and as a probe, where it finds the flaw nobody else can see. Neither job tolerates contamination, so the number on the label matters more here than in almost any other line we fill.

Aggarwal Air Products supplies helium at 4.5 and 99.999% grades from our ISO 9001:2015 certified plant in Bhiwadi, with batch analysis available on request. Helium is non toxic and non flammable, but it displaces air and can cause asphyxiation in a confined or poorly ventilated space. Cylinders are under high pressure: keep them secured upright, fit the correct regulator, and never lift a cylinder by its valve or cap.

What purity grades of helium do you supply?We supply helium at 4.5 grade and at 99.999% purity. Where a process needs a certificate, batch analysis is issued with the delivery.

Do you deliver helium across India?Yes. We fill in Bhiwadi and deliver to Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, Haryana and the surrounding region on scheduled routes, with emergency supply available on call.

What cylinder sizes is helium available in?Helium is available in 150 BAR and 200 BAR cylinders. The size is confirmed per order against your regulator and consumption, so we quote it with your enquiry rather than publishing a fixed list.
